On July 14, FIF submitted a comment letter to the SEC in response to the amended rule filing by CAT LLC to remove PII from CAIS. The FIF comment letter includes a discussion of the need to retire and replace EBS. FIF would like to thank the members of the CAT CAIS, CAT Transaction Reporting and EBS Working Groups for their contributions in the drafting of this comment letter.

On July 17, FIF submitted a letter to the SEC with comments on the draft Technical Specification published by the SEC for the Rule 605 summary report. FIF would like to thank the members of the Rule 605 Working Group for their contributions in the drafting of this letter.

FIF has scheduled a call for the OFR Repo Reporting Working Group for Monday July 21 at 11 am ET. The Working Group will discuss issues and questions from FIF members relating to implementation of the reporting of non-centrally cleared bilateral repos to the Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Research.

The next call for the 24x7 Trading Working Group will be on Monday July 21 at 2 pm ET. The Working Group will continue its discussion of a draft FIF letter to the SEC relating to the planned expansion of exchange trading hours for US equities.
