FIF is excited to announce our annual Chicago event, sponsored by Cboe Global Markets. After opening remarks from Kevin Carrai of Cboe, there will be two panels, one focusing on options trading and market developments and the other focusing on market data and technology. For the options trading and market developments panel, the moderator will be Ted Karn of TKG, and the panelists will be Gregg Berman of Citadel, Andy Bevers of Cboe, Ellen Greene of IMC, and Ben Londergan of Simplex Trading. For the market data and technology panel, the moderator will be Tom Jordan of Jordan & Jordan, and the panelists will be James Calise of Oracle, Arnaud Derasse of Exegy, Raymond Tsui of SS&C, and Jeff Wells of Cboe. On September 24, FIF submitted a letter to the SEC in support of the request for temporary exemption submitted by the CQ, CTA and UTP Plans relating to odd-lot depth-of-book quotes.

FIF has scheduled two calls for the SLATE Working Group for this week. The first call will be on Monday September 29 at 11 am ET; the second call will be on Wednesday October 1 at 11 am. The Working Group will continue its discussion of issues relating to the implementation of SLATE reporting.  

The Front Office Committee will have its next call on Tuesday September 30 at 11 am ET to review applicable updates and notices from the SEC, FINRA, FINRA CAT and the equity and option exchanges. The FIF Committee Co-Chairs will review the recent rule filing by Nasdaq for tokenized securities.

The next call for the Tax Information Reporting Working Group will be on Tuesday September 30 at 3 pm ET. Representatives from Wolters Kluwer will discuss inaugural 1099-DA reporting season concerns.
