FIF has closed registration for our annual Chicago event, sponsored by Cboe Global Markets. The event will take place this afternoon. After opening remarks from Kevin Carrai of Cboe, there will be two panels, one focusing on options trading and market developments and the other focusing on market data and technology. For the options / equities trading and market developments panel, the moderator will be Ted Karn of TKG, and the panelists will be Gregg Berman of Citadel Securities, Andy Bevers of Cboe, Ellen Greene of IMC, and Ben Londergan of Simplex Trading. For the market data and technology panel, the moderator will be Tom Jordan of Jordan & Jordan, and the panelists will be James Calise of Oracle, Arnaud Derasse of Exegy, Raymond Tsui of SS&C, and Jeff Wells of Cboe. On October 3, FIF submitted a comment letter to the SEC relating to FINRA’s withdrawal of its CAT Cost Recovery Fee filing. FIF would like to thanks the members of the CAT Transaction Reporting and CAIS Working Groups for their contributions in the draft of this comment letter.

As a follow-up to the Working Group call on September 25, FIF has posted an updated version of the Regulatory Implementations Calendar.

FIF has scheduled two calls for the SLATE Working Group for this week. The first call will be on Wednesday October 8 at 10 am; the second call will be on Thursday October 9 at 11 am. The Working Group will continue its discussion of issues relating to the implementation of SLATE reporting, including next steps with the SEC and FINRA.  

FIF has scheduled a joint call for the Data and Technology Committee and the Equity Market Regulations Working Group for Wednesday October 8 at 11 am ET. The Committee and Working Group will continue the review and discussion of the documentation published by SIAC and the UTP relating to odd-lot data being added to the SIP market data feeds. SIAC published updates to its odd lot quote examples document on September 23.
