NYSE Euronext:
Over the past several years, NYSE has expanded geographically, cross-asset class and into adjacent technology markets. Beginning with the merger of NYSE and ArcaEx in 2006 to form NYSE Group followed by the April 2007 formation of NYSE Euronext, NYSE has also expanded into adjacent markets acquiring Transact Tools, MatchPoint, and Wombat. Most recently, NYSE Euronext announced plans to acquire AMEX.
CME Group:
CME Group is the largest futures exchange with an average daily trading volume of over nine million contracts a day. The combined entity was formed by the 2007 merger of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).
Nasdaq:
Following the launch of SingleBook, which integrated the BRUT and INET platform, Nasdaq has expanded through acquisition including the merger with OMX Group, as well as plans to acquire BSE and PHLX.
